The Chaos Computer Club, founded in 1981, invaded Hamburg & Berlin with strong idealistic views on hacktivism & network politics.

CC - Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber of Commerce, which encompasses all sectors of business, other than agriculture & crafts (Chambre des Métiers), guards the interests of its member companies. Since they may in some cases pursue opposing, sector-specific interests, the Chamber of Commerce seeks to represent the interests of all its members with a fair approach. Sectorial interests are only pursued if they do not conflict with the interests of other member companies. Today, the Chamber of Commerce has roughly 90,000 affiliated members, accounting for 75% of total employment & representing 80% of GDP. Contributions from members fund the Chamber of Commerce, letting it enjoy financial autonomy.

Among many roles, it promotes the study, design, development & operation of computer applications; encourages technical advice & assistance; & manages pupils & personnel of the administration.

CIRCL - Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg

The Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg (CIRCL) is a government-driven initiative designed to provide a systematic response framework for computer security threats & incidents. CIRCL is the CERT for the private sector, communes & non-governmental entities in Luxembourg. It provides a reliable & trusted point of contact for any user, company or organization based in Luxembourg that is handling an attack or other incident. Its team of experts acts like a fire brigade, with the ability to react quickly & efficiently whenever threats are suspected or detected, or when incidents occur. CIRCL aims is to gather, review, report & respond to cyber threats in a systematic & prompt manner. CIRCL is operated by Security Made in Lëtzebuerg (SMILE) & GIE, which is also the host organization for CASES & BEE SECURE.

With about 200 members from all economic sectors, it is a well-established & independent actor within the information security landscape of Luxembourg & the Greater Region. In just 20 years, it has come a very long way & is proud of its accomplishments.

CNL - National Literature Centre

The National Literature Center (Centre national de littérature - CNL) is a cultural institution established by the government in 1994 & governed by the law of June 25, 2004. It is located at the Maison Servais & the Maison Becker-Eiffes in Mersch. As a literary research institute open to the public, the CNL specializes in the documentation & analysis of Luxembourgish literature & hosts a variety of literary & cultural events. The Center has a reading room, an exhibition space, conference rooms, a library holding over 40,000 books & archives, which ensure the long-term preservation of more than 350 collections. Two fully furnished studios are available to writers-in-residence, researchers & lecturers. These studios are located in the Maison Becker-Eiffes, adjacent to the Center's public garden.

CNPD - National Commission for Data Protection

The CNPD carries out a number of duties: - Supervise & check the legality of the collection & use of data being processed & inform the parties carrying out the processing of their obligations - Ensure the respect of personal freedoms & fundamental rights, particularly regarding privacy, & inform the public of their personal rights - Receive & examine complaints & requests to check the legality of data processing - Advise the government on this subject The National Commission is also responsible for applying the provisions of the amended Act of May 30, 2005 on the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector & of related regulations.
