Fit4Coding wins european Digital Skills Award 2017

Nominated for the European Digital Skills Awards presented on 7 December 2017, Fit4Coding - set up and organised by the ADEM and NumericALL - won the award in the 'Best practice' category.

The good news was announced at a conference in Brussels attended by Guy Pütz, head of the employers department of the ADEM, and Brigitte Lepage, manager of the company NumericALL. Fit4Coding is already in its sixth session; its aim is to train future web developers. Beneficiaries of the Fit4Coding scheme follow an intensive programme including modules on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL. Currently, 80% of the job-seekers who take part in the scheme find a job after their three months of training. Nicolas Schmit, Minister of Labour, Employment, and the Social and Solidarity Economy, welcomed the result. "I am very pleased with this award, proof of our commitment in the field of training. The Fit4Coding project is an innovative response to the challenges raised by digital transformation in terms of competencies."
