5G and Microwaves

With this project, the Luxembourg Science Center aims to generate wider public interest in telecommunications. By offering qualitative information about electromagnetic waves, it demystifies the topic, bridging the gap between specialists and the general population. As part of the project, the Luxembourg Science Center showcases a range of scientific tools to visualize the basics of wireless communication, and it ran a workshop at the 2021 Connecting Tomorrow conference in Luxembourg City.

The Luxembourg Science Center in Differdange continues to feature these discovery stations during its shows, explaining the nature of electromagnetic waves and their influence on new 5G technologies. In addition, visitors can interact with the discovery stations at the Luxembourg Science Center’s exhibition hall.
